Vlog 19 – Osaka, Japan (49-day Silk Road epic cruise journey)

Osaka, here we come!
Vlog 19 takes us to another Japanese city, OSAKA!

It was a hot humid day in Osaka, the rain was coming down pretty heavily for most the day but we made the best of it by checking out a local coffeeshop called Streamers, heading to my favorite Japanese store Muji, grabbing some local street food in Osaka and of course seeing the Osaka Castle.

Hope you enjoy!

Hello everyone.

Two years ago, I took part in a very cool project. I had been working with Princess Cruises for a few years as a freelancer photographer, and had covered the inauguration of their new ship the Majestic Princess in April of 2017. It was a big deal and a big ship.

A month and a half later, I embarked on the Majestic Princess for its maiden voyage. Starting in Rome, we followed the maritime Silk Road all the way to Shanghai. The route was absolutely incredible and I brought along my friend Iouri to assist me throughout, and to compose the music for the weekly videos I produced for Princess Cruises along the way.

This was an incredible trip and a wonderful personal experience to share with a good friend. A lot of travel, new cultures, new foods and new encounters along this hilarious trip. We were in our own bubbe for sure, and it was awesome.

I had produced three VLOGs back then while on ship, but the workload and limited internet access made it damn near impossible to keep up the pace. Without forgoing what little sleep I had that is.

I’ll be revisiting this journey and sharing this journey with you over the next few weeks (months?) looking back at the footage in the Time Capsule.

Hope you enjoy !

Alo Japan.
