Snow Monkey

Snow monkeys are the only monkeys in the world that soak in hot spring.
Wild Japanese Macaques are generally called snow monkeys and they inhabit at Jigokudani Monkey Park.
Jigokudani Monkey Park is located in the valley of northern Nagano Prefecture.
Here it is at the elevation of 850 meters; one third period of whole year is covered by snow. The environment can be pretty severe.
But for snow monkeys, this is their paradise in the nature.
They get into hot spring when it comes to cold winter.
These Japanese Macaques have been living in harmony with nature since long time ago.
You may find the scene of adult monkeys cuddling young ones, or a group of snow monkeys being together.
When monkeys soak in hot spring, they may feel just so relaxed. Please enjoy their adorable looks to the fullest.
