Sam’s Club is renovating its San Marcos location in a project initially valued at $5 million, according to state records. The company has now shared additional details with MySA about the work, including expanded fresh food offerings, a new sushi fixture and upgrades to its health and wellness spaces.

A Sam’s Club spokesperson told MySA via email that renovations to the store’s café are expected to be completed soon, while the full remodel is anticipated to wrap up in January 2027.

The updated store will feature a new sushi fixture serving freshly prepared sushi daily, along with expanded fresh offerings. The retailer is also upgrading its health and wellness spaces with a new optical exam room and enhanced patient areas.

Members can also expect expanded parking for curbside pickup, giving shoppers more room to collect their orders. State records registered in January initially outlined an extensive interior remodel, including a new shop-in freezer and cooler and renovations to the club’s café and deli.

The San Marcos renovation will bring a range of updated food, health and pickup features to a store serving local residents, Texas State University students and visitors to the growing Central Texas city.
