The U.S. Women’s National Team of softball will face off against Japan on Nov. 21022, at Okinawa Cellular Stadium Naha.
The two games on Okinawa are part of the three-game Japan–USA Softball All-Star Series. Since its inaugural installment in 2016, it has become a seasonal event where the two powerhouses collide. As of Sept. 23, Japan and the U.S. are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 by the World Baseball Softball Confederation.
This year, the series makes its debut in Okinawa after the first game in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture.
The rivalry between the U.S. and Japan teams has played out many times on the world stage. At the Olympics, Team USA won the gold medal in 1996, 2000 and 2004, while Japan took the gold in 2008 and 2021. The two softball titans have their eyes on 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, so this series in Naha will be a good indicator where both teams stand.
The venue is Okinawa Cellular Stadium Naha near Naha Military Port and tickets can now be purchased online.
So get your tickets and come to the stadium to witness a showdown between these two great softball powerhouses.
