Visting Kyoto, Japan in October!

Early October was too warm for any autumn colors to appear in Kyoto yet, but there was still plenty to see and do. This time around we got to visit with Adrienne’s parents and take them to some of our favorite spots from our first visit back in April. The ladies dressed up in kimonos, we trekked through the infamous Fushimi Inari, and ate our way through Nishiki Market.
We also got to visit with our friend Aki-san, who took us all the way to Uji and Ise (difficult to get to without a car), where we got to see the Byōdō-in Temple and the Ise Grand Shrine, which was by far our favorite shrine in all of Japan. Check out these highlights and let us know if we’ve convinced you to venture out a little farther!
