Weibo Gaming have qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka and the Six Invitational 2027 after today’s victory against Sharper Esports. The Asian super roster had no major complications after 7-3 and 7-1 wins on Clubhouse and Chalet.
Since joining Rainbow Six Siege’s esports ecosystem, Weibo Gaming have qualified for all BLAST R6 Majors. So far, all their BLAST R6 Major appearances, in Munich and Salt Lake City, ended with Top 11 performances. Unfortunately, the roster has experienced Swiss Stage elimination multiple times, always being knocked out with a 2-3 match record.
Recently, Weibo Gaming reached the playoffs of the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup 2026. After a great display in the group stage, they were knocked out by the BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City champions DarkZero Esports.
Weibo Gaming’s performances on the international stage combined with their regional supremacy have qualified them not only for the BLAST R6 Major Osaka but also for the Six Invitational 2027. It will be Weibo Gaming’s second Six Invitational in a row after a Top 8 finish at the Six Invitational 2026.
On October 23, Weibo Gaming will face off against the winner of the series between Sharper Esports and Elevate to determine what team will clinch a spot at Osaka’s Swiss Stage. The defeated side will have to take part in Osaka’s play-ins, where the team will fight against seven other rosters for a chance to be in Phase 2.
