Air India Osaka Delhi

Air India has announced the launch of non-stop flights between Delhi and Osaka’s Kansai International Airport, effective February 2, 2027. The airline will operate four weekly services using Boeing 787-8 aircraft, becoming the only carrier to offer direct connectivity between the two cities.

Osaka will become Air India’s second destination in Japan after Tokyo Haneda, where the airline currently operates daily flights from Delhi and four weekly services from Mumbai. The new route will further strengthen air connectivity between India and Japan amid growing demand for leisure and business travel.

The Boeing 787-8 aircraft deployed on the route will feature 18 fully flat beds in Business Class and 241 seats in Economy Class.

Flight AI360 will depart Delhi at 22:50 on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, arriving in Osaka at 09:50 the following morning. The return flight, AI359, will depart Osaka at 11:50 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, arriving in Delhi at 18:20 the same day. All timings are local.

The schedule is designed to provide onward connectivity through Air India’s domestic and international network, allowing passengers to connect to other destinations via Delhi.

The introduction of Osaka will also enable travellers to book open-jaw itineraries, flying into Osaka and returning from Tokyo, or vice versa. This flexibility is particularly relevant for travellers exploring Japan’s popular Golden Route, which connects Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka.

According to the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), Japan welcomed more than 315,000 Indian visitors in 2025, representing a 35 per cent increase over 2024 and nearly 80 per cent growth compared with pre-pandemic levels.

The increase reflects growing interest among Indian travellers in Japan’s cultural, culinary and leisure experiences, alongside expanding business and economic ties between the two countries.

With the addition of Osaka, Air India will strengthen its Japanese network and provide Indian travellers with greater flexibility to explore multiple destinations within the country.

Bookings for the Delhi-Osaka flights are being progressively made available through Air India’s official website, mobile application, customer contact centre, airport ticketing offices and travel agents worldwide.
