Lufthansa Group is significantly amplying its services to Japan for the northern summer 2027, flying up to 50 times per week and positioning the group as a leading European airline group for the market.

Lufthansa is resuming its direct connection from Frankfurt to Nagoya and adding a daily flight to Tokyo-Narita to its Tokyo network. SWISS is also increasing its capacity and offering more flights.

Lufthansa will resume seasonal service between Frankfurt and Nagoya on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, starting 29 March 2027 for the outbound flight LH736 ex Frankfurt.

Nagoya is one of Japan’s most important industrial and economic centers. Nagoya also offers direct access to key destinations in the region, such as the ancient imperial city of Kyoto. Via the Frankfurt hub, travellers from Nagoya can connect to numerous destinations in Europe and South America.

Lufthansa operates both routes with the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner in the Allegris configuration – the new premium Lufthansa cabin product – with 28 seats in Business Class, 28 seats in Premium Economy Class and 231 seats in Economy Class.
