  1. Beautiful in the first few days, until you start noticing the (very) bad smells, used syringes, dangerous pavements, never ending scaffolding, etc. It's a place stuck in the dark ages, nice to visit, but try living in this pigsty.

  2. Hello Miley! Did you get to view the coast as you passed over the Scottish/English border? One of the best scenic views from a British train i think.

  3. It’s a shame people had to graffiti the phone booths, and all the poles and walls. UK government should protect its homelands.

  4. Don't forget The Department for Magic is in Edinburgh. Another Very Good and Entertaining Video.

  5. Haggis is traditionally served with mashed neeps (turnips) and mashed tatties (potatoes).

It looks like you had haggis, neeps and cream.

  6. I'm Scottish and I've been lucky enough to explore Japan twice in my life.

The one thing I did not realise the first time I went is that Scotland has some hidden ties with Japan, one of them being because of a guy called Thomas Blake Glover who was very influential there. He was born in Fraserburgh and moved to Aberdeen (which is where I am from). When I learned about him and who he was when he moved to Japan it was very interesting to me and how much of a connection he had with Nagasaki specifically. So on my second trip I made sure to go there and visit the Glover Garden and his house among checking out some other stuff in that city too.

The dedication to him I feel like is not highlighted enough back in Aberdeen when you compare it to what Nagasaki does. I'm not sure if many Japanese people know who he is when they come to visit Scotland as most tourists here nowadays just visit Edinburgh and that's about it.

But for me personally I like this small connection between the two places as that is one extra person that knows.

  7. In these bad days it's So Good to see a Nice Smiley Person having a Great Time 😉

  8. Butterscotch ice cream, was probably what you had, with a caramel flavour. The 'museum' is one of the art galleries in Edinburgh it's free 34 minutes. Some of our cows are super hairy and cute and mostly very docile. Neeps=swede turnip, tatties= potatoes. The traditional dish served on January 25th (Robert Burns day) the national poet 18th century. The cathedral is worth a look inside, and you might want to cross the big river by train next time, (Forth railway bridge) 1880s.
