my solo road trip through saga & nagasaki, japan! chasing floating torii gates, hidden shrines, and countryside fruit stops along one of kyushu’s most scenic stretches. follow my full itinerary through peaceful viewpoints, the arita shrine, and the famous floating torii of ouo. 😍

come with me on this leg of my solo road trip through kyushu, driving from saga into nagasaki. i stop at some beautiful viewpoints along the way, visit the quirky little fruit bus stops along the countryside, explore a few quiet shrines, including the arita shrine and the floating torii gates, one of the most striking spots of my whole trip.

but as you’ll see, sometimes not everything works out on the first try, but the additional effort is well worth it!

this stretch of kyushu felt so peaceful and untouched, and it’s exactly the kind of slow, in-between-the-cities travel i love sharing the most.
