A peaceful early morning walk through Otaru, Hokkaido, Japan.
At 6:01 AM, I started walking from Third Wharf and followed a street running parallel to the Otaru Canal.
This street is lined with historic warehouse buildings that have been renovated into restaurants and shops. During the day, it is a popular area with many international visitors.
But at 6:00 in the morning, the shops and streets were still waking up.
With the soft yellow morning sunlight falling over the town, I could take my time and enjoy the architecture and quiet atmosphere of Otaru.
