After travelling throughout Japan, we were genuinely surprised by just how much this incredible city packs in — from Osaka Castle and centuries of history, to the neon streets of Dotonbori, peaceful parks, Pokémon, incredible food and the wonderfully quirky neighbourhood of Shinsekai.

In this video, we continue exploring Osaka and discover just how much variety this city has to offer. We visit the iconic Osaka Castle, explore Pokémon Centre Osaka DX, take in the famous Glico Running Man in Dotonbori, slow things down in Tennoji Park and finish up in the retro streets of Shinsekai beneath Tsutenkaku Tower.

Travelling Japan as a family with two young kids has also given us a very different perspective on exploring the country — finding the balance between Japan’s iconic sights and the quieter, more unexpected places that make a destination memorable.
