Ramen has released its Aura game development agent for Unity and Unreal Engine with automated playtesting verification.

The commercial 1.0 release introduces a redesigned interface, persistent project memory, multi-project environments, and expanded platform availability across macOS and Windows. Ramen has also launched the tool on Epic Games’ Fab store, offering C++ source code access for studios running custom Unreal Engine builds.

Andy Tsen, CEO and Co-founder at Ramen, said: “For the last seven months in beta, Ramen worked hard to connect with design partners like IRONMACE, Sinn Studio and our community to deliver frontier-level agentic tools.

“We’re incredibly proud to be launching Aura 1.0 today, the most powerful, affordable, and accessible agent for professional game developers.”

Automated playtesting and Anthropic foundation architecture

Aura 1.0 is built on Anthropic’s Claude models, developed alongside engineers from Anthropic’s Applied AI team. The architecture centres on automated game verification through an in-engine agent capable of playtesting builds without a developer at the controls.

Shadiya Refkat, Applied AI at Anthropic, commented: “Game development pushes the limits of what AI can do, from complex codebases to automated testing.

“Aura’s team is building at the frontier, and we’re excited to see what they ship with Opus 5 and Fable 5.1.”

Verification cycles execute eight times faster than beta versions, reducing test case durations from 2–3 minutes down to under 60 seconds. The verification agent can evaluate three test cases concurrently, expanding beyond the single-case sequential testing used in prior builds.

Multi-agent delegation and studio implementations

Auto mode generation speed for node-based visual scripts has doubled, completing tasks in three minutes compared to six minutes in beta. The system generates and verifies visual scripting logic automatically across simple and complex engine tasks.

Production implementations include Dark and Darker developer IRONMACE, whose titles support over 20 million players. Non-technical designers at the studio generated and verified node-based visual scripts in half the standard time to build tutorial features, freeing engineering and design capacity. Sinn Studio has also deployed the agent as an early design partner.

Cross-session memory and platform distribution

Aura 1.0 introduces Project Memory to retain operational facts, context, and code revisions across developer sessions and projects. Developers avoid re-explaining context each session, while Custom Agents and Dynamic Workflows allow engineering leads to delegate multi-step gameplay systems to teams of subagents or configure custom agents for specific tasks.

Commercial access retains unlimited execution in Auto mode across premium foundation models with elevated rate limits. Ramen has made the $10 beta discount on its Indie Tier permanent, alongside distribution on the Fab store and native macOS support for Unity and Unreal Engine.
