According to The Guardian, Radiohead will return to Australia in May 2027 for 16 shows across Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, with five additional concerts planned in Saitama, Japan. The British rock band announced the itinerary on Monday afternoon.
The tour begins at Perth’s RAC Arena on 3 May, where the group will perform four shows. It will then move to Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena for six performances, followed by dates at Sydney’s Afterpay Arena. The Australian run will be Radiohead’s first tour of the country in 15 years.
Radiohead will also play five concerts at GMO Arena Saitama near Tokyo, marking its first return to Japan in 19 years. The band last toured Australia following its 2011 album The King of Limbs. Frontman Thom Yorke later visited Australia for solo shows in 2024.
The group reunited last year after seven years for shows in European cities. Radiohead has not released a studio album since 2016’s A Moon Shaped Pool, but demand for the newly announced dates was strong. Fans can register for Australian tickets through an online portal operated by co-promoter Frontier Touring, which says the ballot-like system is intended to provide fair access and limit automated and unauthorised purchases. Registration closes Thursday at 5pm AEST; successful registrants will be emailed from Friday and offered a chance to buy tickets next week.
