Kura Sushi, serving food by conveyor belt, to open in Denton

Kura Sushi, where diners can grab food as it travels along a conveyor belt, will open a new location in Rayzor Ranch Town Center in Denton.

This restaurant will be the brand’s seventh location in North Texas. The company opened its first locations in Plano and Carrollton in 2016, followed by Frisco in 2018, Euless in 2024, and later Fort Worth and McKinney in 2025.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar offers more than 100 dishes that circulate on a double conveyor belt system, covered with a ventilated lid. The system has tracking technology to monitor the freshness of the dishes.

Above the main belt operates the express belt, an upper lane that delivers orders to diners placed via a touch panel.

In addition, each table has a rewards system in which diners can get small prizes according to the number of dishes consumed, adding an extra dimension to the dining experience.

The menu includes sushi, sashimi, tempura, noodles, desserts and beverages, as well as sake and beer.

Kura Sushi USA, Inc. operates more than 80 restaurants in 22 states and Washington, D.C., in the U.S. The company, founded in 2008, is a subsidiary of Kura Sushi, Inc., a Japan-based chain with more than 600 restaurants internationally and 45 years of experience in the conveyor-belt sushi segment.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar will be at Rayzor Ranch Town Center, located at I-35 @, Highway 380, Denton.
