We always love a wander round Hakata or Tenjin, but if you want to see more of what Kyushu has to offer, these are our favourite day trips from Fukuoka to add to your Kyushu itinerary:

🛶 Yanagawa: 50 minutes from Fukuoka
⛩️ Dazaifu: 45 minutes from Fukuoka
🌸 Nokonoshima: A 10-minute ferry (but around 1 hour from the city centre)
🏯 Karatsu: 1 hour 15 from Fukuoka
♨️ Takeo Onsen: 1 hour from Fukuoka
