Osaka made headlines with her tribute to Iverson’s signature look from his days with the Philadelphia 76ers, complete with an accurately flashy robe.

Taking to Instagram to react to Naomi Osaka’s tribute to him at the US Open, former NBA star Allen Iverson had some kind words for the tennis ace.
Iverson thanked Osaka for her beautiful tribute, and claimed that she is an inspiration to many young athletes just like he was for her growing up.
“Thank you for the beautiful tribute! I’m grateful to have inspired you. Blessings to you on your journey—you’re an inspiration to many, including myself!”
Iverson is considered by many American fans to be one of the most influential athletes of all time, with his style and charisma complementing his incredible skills on the court.
‘The Answer,’ as he came to be known in the NBA, was a true maverick, someone who consistently battled against the norms and traditions of the league in an effort to be his most authentic self.
