A ‌magnitude 6.2 earthquake ​struck Japan’s Hokkaido region ​on Sunday, ⁠the ‌European ‌Mediterranean Seismological ​Centre ⁠said.

The quake ​was ​at ‌a depth ​of ⁠46km (28.58 ​miles), the centre said.

There are no reports yet of casualties or damage.

The quake came less than a day after a 5.8-magnitude earthquake hit central Japan.
