This is Takenoko, an extremely affectionate girl who is only about 4 years old.
She’s a pit bull mix and though she may look a bit scary, she’s not. She is, according to an ARK insider, just a “big, goofy, fun-loving girl!”
Takenoko isn’t a lightweight though. She weighs in at 20 kg, but at her age, she isn’t expected to grow anymore … unless of course it’s outward!
Takenoko takes her name from the Japanese word for a “young bamboo shoot,” one that’s just breaking through the ground. The name suggests the vibrancy, power and potential for growth that the young bamboo exemplifies. This Takenoko is already way ahead of the game in both size and in her loving nature.

Though she’s not extremely fond of other dogs, Takenoko loves to spend time with people.

Though she’s not extremely fond of other dogs, she loves to spend time with people. It makes no difference to her if you’ve met before. If you are willing to play, you’re already her best friend. We’re hoping she can find that best friend in you.
