Delhi-Japan Tour Package: Planning a holiday to Japan? The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced a 10-day, 9-night tour package from Delhi, offering travellers the chance to explore Japan’s iconic cities, cultural landmarks, scenic attractions, and experience a ride on the country’s world-famous Shinkansen (bullet train). The tour will depart from Delhi on September 6 and conclude on September 15, covering Tokyo, Hakone, Hamamatsu, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, and Hiroshima.
Tour Price And Package Cost: The package includes a flight to Tokyo and local rides on Japan’s Shinkansen bullet train, available in multiple occupancy options. The triple-sharing package is priced at Rs 3,45,999 per person, while the twin-sharing package costs Rs 3,49,999 per person. Travellers opting for single occupancy will have to pay Rs 4,73,999. For families, the package is priced at Rs 2,92,499 for children aged 5-11 years with a bed and Rs 2,63,999 for children in the same age group without a bed.
What Is Included In The Package? According to IRCTC, the package includes return economy-class airfare, accommodation in four-star hotels, Japan tourist visa charges, daily breakfast, lunch and dinner, airport transfers, sightseeing in air-conditioned coaches, travel insurance for passengers below 70 years of age, the services of an English-speaking tour guide, and applicable taxes. With most major travel expenses included, the package is designed to offer a hassle-free travel experience.
Flight Details: As per the tentative itinerary, travellers will fly on All Nippon Airways (ANA). The outbound journey is scheduled on Flight NH838, departing Delhi at 6 pm on September 6 and arriving at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport at 5:55 am the following day. The return journey is planned on Flight NH837, departing Haneda at 11:10 am on September 15 and reaching Delhi at 4:30 pm.
IRCTC has clarified that the flight schedule is indicative and may change due to airline operational requirements. Any changes in flight timings could also lead to modifications in the sightseeing schedule or overall itinerary.
Places Covered During The Tour: The tour begins with a two-night stay in Tokyo, where travellers will visit Asakusa Temple, Nakamise Dori, Ueno Park, Odaiba, and TeamLab Planets. The itinerary also includes visits to some of Japan’s most popular natural attractions, including Mount Fuji’s Fifth Station (weather permitting, with Oshino Hakkai as an alternative), Owakudani Valley, the Hakone Ropeway from Togendai to Owakudani, and a one-way sightseeing cruise on the Hakone Pirate Ship.
The journey further covers Toyota Museum, SCMAGLEV Railway Museum in Nagoya, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Kinkaku-ji Temple, Fushimi Inari Taisha, Osaka Castle, Nara Deer Park, Todai-ji Temple, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Miyajima Island, and Itsukushima Shrine. One of the biggest highlights of the package is a ride on Japan’s famous Shinkansen (bullet train) from Shin-Osaka Station to Hiroshima Station.
Booking Conditions: IRCTC has advised travellers to ensure that their passport remains valid for at least six months from the date of return. Applicants must also submit the required documents, including a PAN card, while booking the package. For obtaining a Japan tourist visa, travellers will be required to provide financial and employment-related documents as per visa requirements.
IRCTC has further stated that the itinerary is indicative and may be revised depending on operational requirements or changes in flight schedules.
