Can Our Kids Handle a Day Eating in Japan? 🇯🇵
Can kids really handle a full day eating their way through Japan? 🇯🇵 In this family travel vlog, we put it to the test in Takayama – one of Japan’s most beautiful mountain towns and an incredible place to experience local Japanese food, morning markets and traditional streets.
With our two young kids, we spend the day eating our way through Takayama, starting at the famous morning markets before exploring the historic old town and trying some of the local foods this region is known for.
From Hida beef skewers and midarashi dango to local miso, Japanese sweets, creamy Takayama pudding and a bowl of famous Takayama ramen, there are plenty of new flavours for the girls to try along the way.
There are big wins, unexpected favourites and a few foods that definitely divide opinions as we see just how adventurous our kids are when it comes to eating in Japan.
If you’re planning a trip to Takayama with kids, looking for the best food to try in Takayama, or just love watching real family food adventures in Japan, come along as we eat our way through this beautiful Japanese town.

nice date video
Welcome to Gifu🤗✨
Half the people I've met (on two trips to Tokyo, each around a month long), were from Australia. I'm from Toronto, and you guys remind me a bit of fellow Canadians- polite, considerate and pleasant!
I'm Japanese and from Gifu Prefecture 😊 I have fond memories of going to Takayama, and there's an area I'd really like you to visit from Takayama: take the bus from Takayama to the Hotaka Ropeway 🚡. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking.
You don't need to make a scene and post about it. Just quiet down and enjoy your meal
No need to show off online. Just eat quietly…, thanks
