The walk begins at Umekita Plaza beside Osaka Station, where the new towers glow against the night, and the summer heat still lingers warm over the city. From there it heads south into Kitashinchi and Dojima, through the lively lanes of Osaka’s old entertainment district where lanterns and neon light the way, then out along the Tosabori River as the Nakanoshima waterfront glows blue beneath the elevated expressway. Crossing into the quiet grid of Semba, the route passes a summer festival at Goryo Shrine β€” food stalls, lanterns and yukata crowds β€” before reaching the ginkgo-lined boulevard of Midosuji and ending in the shopping streets near Honmachi, as the warm summer night settles over the city.
