We always worried about the food since we don't eat seafood. Now after many visits we have our food down pat. Konbinis, fast food – Mos Burger and Coco Curry are our go-to places – so good and so cheap!
All great advice. If there is time it can also be fun to try other international cuisines to compare as well! Also, always have cash on hand just in case! I had to run to an ATM machine after a meal once and apologise profusely to the owner – luckily they were very nice about it!
Genuine recommendation for helping with fiber. Get convenience store salads. It can be difficult getting enough veggies anywhere while traveling, but having at least one convenience store salad a day helped a ton. If your hotel has a fridge, you can even stock up for multiple days!
Having traveled to Japan multiple times over varied financial circumstances, It's one of the most budget friendly countries there is. I usually conbini/fast food for breakfast, casual lunch (think soba/ramen, curry, or some kind of lunch set), and then dinner can be whatever you want. Keep in mind that high end places do eat up a fair amount of time (2-3 hours in some cases), and you typically won't be high energy and ready to explore after big meals like that. Also, Tokyo is far and away the most expensive for higher end places. I usually book my fancier meals in other cities. Enjoy!
if you're going to Japan for vacation you have to splurge yourself…breakfast and lunch I do konbini / fast food…but at night I pick the best sushi or wagyu restaurant 🙂
First; the thumbs up.
Then, watch the video.
Third… one month left and I’ll be in Japan! I can’t wait!😊
