We Saw Mt. Fuji for Only $20… Was It Worth It? 🇯🇵

From taking a $20 day trip from Tokyo to seeing Mount Fuji for the first time, this Japan travel vlog follows our budget adventure to Lake Kawaguchi (Kawaguchiko) to find out if you can really experience one of Japan’s most famous landmarks without spending a fortune.

We start the day in Tokyo with one question: can you see Mount Fuji for only $20? After booking an affordable express bus from Tokyo to Kawaguchiko, we head toward one of Japan’s most iconic destinations hoping the weather will cooperate and Mount Fuji will finally reveal itself.

Arriving at Lake Kawaguchi, we explore the area, try Japanese curry for the first time, visit a peaceful temple (that didn’t let visitors…), and hike up to find some of the best Mount Fuji viewpoints near Tokyo.

After waiting and hoping for clear skies, we finally get an incredible view of Mount Fuji for the first time. Seeing Japan’s most famous mountain in person was an unforgettable travel moment, and we share our honest reactions about whether this budget day trip was actually worth it.

We also experience some of the most popular Mount Fuji photo spots, including the famous Lawson convenience store view, before heading back to Tokyo.

To finish the day, we try Shogun Burger, known for their 100% Wagyu beef burgers, and test our luck at Japanese gachapon machines before answering the big question:
