Camp Zama’s highly anticipated annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) is returning this summer, promising a week of vibrant fun, faith, and fellowship for community children entering preschool through 5th grade.

This year’s VBS, themed “Illumination Station,” will run from August 3 to 7, 2026 (from 1 PM-4 PM- Shuttle departs SHA SAC Parking Lot at 11:15). The program is designed to immerse children in a dynamic, high-energy learning environment filled with hands-on activities, inspiring music, and lessons designed to help their faith shine bright.

“VBS is a wonderful opportunity for our children to grow in their faith, discover their unique purpose, and build lasting friendships,” said Ms. Lindsey Powell, the 2026 Camp Zama VBS Director. “It’s also a fantastic, welcoming way for families to connect with the broader Camp Zama community.”

To ensure a safe and successful week of adventure, the VBS team is actively seeking volunteers. Service members, adults, and youth entering the 6th grade and above are highly encouraged to lend their time, energy, and talents.

Whether you want to lead a class, assist with crafts, or help guide the kids through “Illumination Station,” there is a place for everyone to serve.

(Note: Per community safety protocols, all volunteers aged 12 and older who work directly with children will undergo a standard background check.)
