Our autumn road trip through northern Japan begins in Tokyo, before taking us north through Morioka and Akita. 🍁
In Part 1, we shop in Tokyo, before heading to Akita, visit Koiwai Farm, meet some very fluffy sheep, explore peaceful countryside scenery around Lake Tazawako.
The autumn colours had only just started appearing during the first few days, but the quieter roads, open landscapes and changing weather made this such a gentle beginning to our journey north.
