A local shopkeeper on the Japanese island of Okinawa laments the loss of customers as the region is on high alert ahead of Super Typhoon ‘Bavi.’ Bavi is expected to pound Japan’s southwestern islands, as well as Taiwan’s north and east, on July 10 and 11, 2026 before smashing into China, which has been hit by deadly storms this week.
