Welcome back to Japan everybody! On the way back from Europe we wanted to have a layover, and of course we had to pick one of our favourite countries – Japan to do it.

This time we decided to spend a week in Kyoto as the last time we were here it was for such a short visit, so after checking into our hotel we headed out to find some Ramen…and when Jess said Fire Ramen, I thought spicey…not our ramen literally being on fire.
Where we had lunch: Menbaka Fire Ramen.

The next day we headed out to Fushi Inari Taisha Shrine (the shrine with a 1000 red gates) before walking around the Higashiyama Ward to see the Yosaka Pagoda and the autumn colours covering Japan.

Next up was lunch, so we headed to the Nishiki Markets to grab some Japanese street food and some okonomiyaki before ending our time at Nara Park to feed the bowing deers.
