Welcome to Day 3 of our Japan travel series! In this Japan travel vlog, we start the day in Kyoto with a visit to the historic Nijo Castle before travelling from Kyoto to Hiroshima by Shinkansen bullet train.
Our day begins at Nijo Castle, one of Kyoto’s most important historic sites. We explore the castle grounds, gardens and palace area while sharing our first impressions of this famous Kyoto attraction. If you’re planning a Kyoto itinerary, Nijo Castle is one of the key places to consider, especially if you’re interested in Japanese history, gardens and traditional architecture.
After visiting Nijo Castle, we head to Kyoto Station to prepare for our journey to Hiroshima. We pick up food for the train and board the Shinkansen, Japan’s world-famous bullet train. In this vlog, we share what it’s like to travel from Kyoto to Hiroshima by Shinkansen, including the onboard experience, Green Car comfort, views from the train and why travelling by bullet train is one of the best ways to explore Japan.
After arriving in Hiroshima, we check into the Hilton Hiroshima and give you a full tour of our Executive King Room.
