Japan in Spring Looks Like This β Hamamatsu Castle Park
Everyone comes to Japan for the cherry blossoms. πΈ
But then they leave β and they miss this.
Fresh green season (ζ°η·, shinryoku) in Japan is one of
the most beautiful times to visit, and almost nobody
talks about it. The trees explode in vivid lime-green,
the light filters through the leaves like stained glass,
and the whole world just… breathes.
This is Hamamatsu Castle Park in spring. πΏ
It’s free to walk through. It takes maybe 20 minutes
to stroll the full grounds. And it will absolutely
stop you in your tracks.
Most tourists rush past Hamamatsu on the Shinkansen
between Tokyo and Kyoto. If you’re one of them β
please stop. Even for just an afternoon.
The castle, the park, the views from the tower.
Glad I came in this season. You will be too.
