Japan Walking Tour in Otaru, Hokkaido | Hidden Yamanaka Coast & Charasenai Falls

A quiet morning walk along one of Otaru’s most remote coastal areas.
A large offshore rock, home to a colony of cormorants, stands against the rugged shoreline of Yamanaka Coast.
Walking along the rocky beach, the crystal-clear water sparkles in the morning light.
Following the coastline over countless boulders, I first discovered a small waterfall and thought it was Charasenai Falls. But the real destination was still farther ahead.
Perhaps this tiny waterfall only appears during the spring season.
After continuing along the coast, I finally reached Charasenai Falls, where fresh water flows toward the Sea of Japan.
This video captures the untouched beauty of one of Otaru’s hidden coastal landscapes.
