Central Japan Railway Company says it resumed Tokaido Shinkansen bullet train services gradually from around 8:48 p.m. on Friday.
Services between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka were suspended after a bullet train struck a person who had entered the tracks at Hamamatsu Station, central Japan.
The company says the resumption comes after an on-site investigation and safety checks of the tracks, along with other procedures, were completed.
