The First Ride South: Solo Motorcycle Adventure in Kagoshima
A solo motorcycle travel documentary film through Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan — the first ride south in Project 47.
This is where the journey begins: one rider, one motorcycle, no support crew, no fixed route, and the first real test of life on the road across Japan.
Kagoshima became the opening chapter of Project 47 — a ride through volcanic landscapes, empty coastlines, rural backroads, mountain shrines, motorcycle camping, fatigue, isolation, and the first crash of the journey.
What started as a simple ride into the far south of Kyushu quickly became something larger. The road was quiet, the weather kept changing, and every stop made the journey feel more real.
This is not a Kagoshima travel guide. It is a solo motorcycle journey through Japan’s volcanic south — the road, the mistakes, the quiet places, and the reality of beginning a long journey alone.
THE JOURNEY:
00:00 — The Ride Begins
04:44 — Riding Under the Volcano
05:25 — Waterfalls on the Road South

¡Gran canal (el original y este) y magníficos vídeos! Es una pena que no hayas vuelto a salir con la GB350S, seguro que explicaste el porqué y me lo perdí.
¡Mucha suerte en el nuevo canal!
The GB350S is so cool owned mine 6 months now it’s a keeper
Time to start watching the series a third time, I suppose. Let's get this channel going!
Hey , interested in the luggage set up , are they just dry bags rokstrapped to the standard seat? Ive got a big bike and a small bike and im finding myself always veering towards the small bike , even for longer rides. The only thing stopping me doing multi day missions is the luggage setup. I did a 6,000 mile trip on my Africa Twin. But if i can manage similar on my small bike , I’m veering towards this for my next adventure!
Found your new channel 🤞🏻❤️
Registered! Good luck with that project!
The best channel for discovering a different side of Japan with a cool guy!
Once again Adam, thank you for this beautiful gift that is sharing longer videos with us.
