3 Days in Kyoto: Fushimi Inari, Bamboo Forest & Gion
We took a trip to Kyoto and found it to be completely different city to the places we’d already seen in Japan. Walking in from the train station, the concrete housing and space age tower was a contrast to the ancient temples and shrines which are found throughout the city.

Fushimi Inari Taisha remains one of my favourite moments in life! Not just Kyoto or Japan. It is crazy how wild and secluded it gets right in the middle of the city. Also, there is a true wild bamboo forest that goes on for miles and most probably you are on your own there!
We visited last year and really enjoyed it! Most of the crowds just walk the first 5/10 minutes!
