‘Pokémon GO Fest Tokyo’ was held in the Tokyo Bay Area for four days from May 29 to June 1 2026, which gathered about 115,000 participants.
Including ‘In-Town Game Play’ over entire Tokyo (except islands), a pre-event from May 25, the total number of participants reached about 1.71 million. The total distance walked by participants within Tokyo is equivalent to approximately 790 times the circumference of the Earth. The total number of Pokémon caught reached approximately 439 million.
“Pokémon GO Fest” is a large-scale real-world event for “Pokémon GO” held once a year in cities around the world. Participants can walk around the city and enjoy special Pokémon appearances, exclusive content, and local collaboration events in the game.
It is held once a year in various regions around the world, and was first held in Chicago in 2018. In Japan, it was held in Yokohama in 2019 for the first time, and the 6th event in Japan was held in Tokyo for first time.
In Tokyo, the event featured three main venues: Odaiba Seaside Park, Symbol Promenade Park, and Shiokaze Park, with four zones developed to highlight the unique characteristics of each area.
