The Beauty of Antique Kogin Textiles in Hirosaki
We had the incredible opportunity to visit “Yumemiru Kogin Kan” in Hirosaki City, Aomori! 🪡🇯🇵
During our visit, I could try on an actual antique Kogin-stitched jacket that is over 100 years old! It is truly breathtaking to see this level of craftsmanship up close. If you look closely, you can see how wonderfully transparent the historical fabric is, and how the shoulder epaulets were crafted separately before being sewn onto the garment.
