Fuji, to lesser known places such as Atami city and the Izu peninsula. Finally we take you to Kawasaki as an alternative base to Tokyo, where we wrap up our trip.     The Izu Peninsula leg is what got me — everyone does the Fuji-Tokyo circuit but barely anyone thinks to extend it down the coast. Mixing trains and a rental car for that stretch is actually the move.
