japan diaries [ep. 3] / exploring west aomori, visiting hot springs, and seeing beautiful mountains

We headed west to visit some of my grandma’s favorite hot spring locations. Western Aomori is called Tsugaru and they have a whole different dialect! The scenery of the mountains on the drive was absolutely breathtaking. We stopped by this Kokeshi doll center which Kuroishi is known for. These dolls are known across Japan but they make a specific kind of these dolls. The next day we went up north toward Mutsu. We stopped by this local tofy shop and their goodies were so good! Our main stop was Osorezan (Mt. Osore), known for their hot springs and temple. Come back for more episodes!!
