Fukuoka Coffee Shops | New Open 2026

2026 Spring. Fukuoka.
Once again, a wave of new coffee shops has opened across the city.
These are second locations of already established and trusted cafés—places you can visit with confidence, knowing their first stores have already built a solid reputation.
In this vlog, I’ll be introducing four of these newly opened second shops.
All of them are conveniently located within walking distance of Hakata, Tenjin, and Ohori Park—making them easy to visit during your trip.

I hope this can serve as inspiration for your next travel destination.

Exclusive menu items include espresso drinks made with the “Outdoor Blend,” specially developed for outdoor settings.

FUGLEN COFFEE ーKEYAKIDORI
pened on May 5, 2026.
Originating from Oslo, Fuglen is a specialty coffee brand known for its cozy atmosphere created with vintage Scandinavian furniture. It has already been featured in previous vlogs.
In Japan, there are currently four locations in Tokyo, one in Kyoto, one in Kanagawa, and now a second store in Fukuoka.
This new location, highly anticipated even before opening, is tucked away in a quiet residential area near Keyakidori Avenue. Unlike the Hakata store, it offers a more neighborhood café vibe, giving a different experience.
Exclusive offerings include morning and lunch menus, and in the evening, it transforms into a bar space.

Open hours
Sun–Tue: 7:00–22:00

NO CCFFEE – Tenjin shop
Opened on April 28, 2026.
The second store of NO COFFEE—one of Fukuoka’s most well-known cafés—has opened proudly along the Tenjin riverside.
One of the brand’s defining features is its extensive merchandise line, with apparel and goods that far exceed the number of coffee offerings, showcasing the strength of its brand identity.
Along the riverside, you’ll also find Coffee County. For those who want a more specialty coffee-focused experience, Coffee County is recommended. For those who want a more relaxed coffee break with conversation, NO COFFEE is the perfect choice.

Open daily
8:30–20:30 (irregular holidays)

SYM COFFEE ーMaizuru
Opened on May 1, 2026.
The second location of SYM COFFEE, which also roasts its own beans, has opened just a 10-minute walk from Ohori Park.
The interior is small, with only seven seats, but it features a spacious terrace where guests can enjoy coffee under natural light.
The name “SYM” comes from the idea of “together,” and the café is also pet-friendly.
Recommended drinks include single origin drip coffee and cold brew.

Open daily
9:00–19:00

  1. Hello! How exciting for the coffee lover to have all of the new coffee shop locations opening up nearby. I was in Tokyo, Shibuya and Nagoya last week and I was hoping to schedule in visiting some local coffee shops between work, but it did not work out. 😢 Hopefully next time it will.
Have a wonderful week ahead! ❤😊
