I Explored Okinawa in a Camping Car (This is the Best Way to Do It)

Okinawa is Japan’s southwestern-most prefecture. Okinawa was formerly the Ryukyu Kingdom, which was annexed by Japan in the late 1800s, so it still retains some cultural differences, not to mention its tropical latitude means it has flora and fauna very different to that of Japan’s four main islands. I rented a couple camping cars from Evertrail to explore the main island for a few days. I spent most of my time in the northern part of the island where nature is the most abundant. I came across quiet beaches, waterfall swimming holes, and a couple decent hikes in. In my opinion, this is the best way to explore the main island of Okinawa.
