Togakushi Shrine & Matsumoto Castle 🇯🇵 Nagano Day Trip Guide | Travel Vlog | Dom and Bela

🇯🇵✨ Join us on an unforgettable day trip from Nagano as we explore two of the region’s most iconic spots — the peaceful Togakushi Shrine and the stunning Matsumoto Castle.

From forest walks and traditional food to a magical nighttime castle illumination, this day had everything we love about traveling in Japan.

Here’s what we did:

🚌 Took a bus from Nagano to Togakushi Chusha
🌲 Walked through scenic trails lined with towering cedar trees toward the iconic red gate
🍜 Enjoyed a delicious bowl of soba, a local specialty in Togakushi
🚆 Headed back to Nagano and took a train to Matsumoto
🏯 Visited the famous Matsumoto Castle
🐸 Explored Nawate Street, also known as Frog Street
🌙 Returned to the castle at night and were lucky to witness the seasonal illumination show (only available from December to February!)
