In this 4K walking tour, we explore the area around Kita-Sanjo Station. I visited specifically to walk through the historic Sanjo Chuo Shopping District, only to find that the grand arcade had been demolished. This video serves as a poignant record of a city center in the midst of transformation.

The sound of my sneakers continues to echo through the quiet, changing streets—a raw and immersive soundtrack to this evening stroll.

📍 About this Journey:
Moving on from Tsubame, I arrived at Kita-Sanjo Station in Sanjo City, Niigata. While it was disappointing to find the arcade gone, its removal was perhaps an inevitable part of the city’s aging infrastructure. This walk captures the “real” Sanjo in March 2026, reflecting the quiet rhythm and evolving soul of the Ken-o region.
