The trash can thing is interesting, there is a 99% invisible podcast episode about Taiwan fixing their trash problem, and that’s part of what they did… remove trash cans. If you bring trash out or create trash while out it belongs to YOU! So you must take it to your own trash can. Sure they exist but it’s harder to find than in the americas where they’re super common.
