JUST OPENED! Stunning New Art Hotel in Yokohama by Hoshino Resorts | OMO7 Full Review
I stayed at OMO7 Yokohama by Hoshino Resorts — a brand-new legacy hotel reborn from Yokohama’s iconic former City Hall, designed by celebrated architect Murano Tōgo in 1959. The historic architecture has been seamlessly “grafted” with Hoshino’s signature contemporary style, creating a space where every corner tells a story. Located right in front of JR Kannaï Station’s south exit, with direct views of Yokohama Stadium from the rooftop, this is one of the most exciting new hotel openings in Yokohama.
The Katariba Room spans a generous 55m², featuring twin beds, a 3-way split bathroom, and soaring ceilings that echo the original civic building’s grandeur. The hotel is directly connected to BASEGATE Yokohama Kannaï, a large mixed-use complex home to THE LIVE — the official BayStars entertainment venue. Each evening, a jazz event called “Hama Night” takes over the rooftop terrace (7:00–10:30 PM, live performances on Fri & Sat), and the hotel even offers Japan’s first detergent-free Smart Laundry using alkaline ionised water. Dog-friendly rooms are also available.
Breakfast at OMO Dining (2F) features the “Yokohama Morning Specialties” buffet — over 50 items including a live kitchen, salad bar with Kanagawa produce, dim sum, and vegan curry. A complete Yokohama experience, morning to night.

Hi everyone! Thanks for watching! 🇯🇵 OMO7 Yokohama just opened inside the beautifully reimagined former Yokohama City Hall — don't miss the rooftop with direct views of Yokohama Stadium, and the nightly jazz event that runs every single evening.

beautiful new art hotel very nice!👍👍👍😊❤
The suite is wonderful! Cozy, modern, and with well flexibility, and the blue bathroom looks cool! The breakfast area looks modern and comfortable as well! Also I love that they preserve the old building part and new structures together, the building itself is an art.
구 청사를 개조해 그 모습을 잘 보존한 곳 같네요 다음에요코하마에 가게 되면 꼭 가보고 싶어요
