Why did they make the same song musically, but different lyric sets?
Edit: I understand why they are different languages, I'm asking why they are completely different lyrics sets. Assuming the translation I followed along with is accurate they aren't even similar for lyrics.

Um. Because one is in Japanese and one is in English? And both languages have different conventions about what makes up a song. Passion vs Sanctuary is the same.
Because one is for the “western” market and the other for Japan, they’re the theme songs to Kingdom Hearts 1. Same for Passion/Sanctuary (KH2) and Face My Fears (KH3). Hikki is bilingual as well, so they fit perfectly in the franchise (Disney x Square).
