I recently spent 5 days in Tokyo, and I was honestly disappointed. Because of overtourism, the attitude toward foreigners felt noticeably worse. Some people even spoke to us in a blunt or disrespectful tone, almost like talking down to us. It made the whole trip pretty unpleasant.
