  1. Miyajima instead of Nara in order to skip the crowds? Uh, I don't think that'll work… I've been to both, and Miyajima was way more crowded… great place, but not if you want to specifically avoid other people.

    The Sunrise sleeper train is horrible. Young people are drinking all night in the corridors. And the train stops so much for JR container trains, it's no way to sleep.

    I know secret places, but not going to ruin them for the locals and us.
