K-pop girl group Twice packed Tokyo’s National Stadium for three nights this past week, drawing a combined 240,000 fans and becoming the first K-pop act to headline the venue on their own.
The concerts, held on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday, were part of Twice’s sixth world tour, “This Is For,” and marked a new high point in the group’s decade-long foothold in Japan, according to a press release from the band’s agency, JYP Entertainment.
With attendance at each concert reaching the stadium’s 80,000-seat capacity, the shows capped a Japan run that has drawn a cumulative 640,000 fans, including earlier stops at the country’s four major performance venues.
During the concerts, the group performed their signature hits, such as “STRATEGY” (2024), “SET ME FREE” (2023) and “I Can’t Stop Me” (2020), as well as solo songs by individual members.
The concerts also highlighted Twice’s Japan discography, including performances of “ENEMY” (2025), the title track of their sixth full-length Japanese album.
A standout moment came when Mina, Sana and Momo — as the subunit MiSaMo — performed “Confetti” live on tour for the first time, prompting one of the loudest reactions of the night.
The closing song, “ONE SPARK” (2025), was accompanied by a stadiumwide fireworks display that lit up the night sky.
Marking the 10th year since their Japanese debut, the group paused for a surprise video looking back on the past decade — a moment that visibly moved the members.
“It feels like we have been achieving our dreams together, one by one, over the past 10 years,” Momo said. “Thank you.”
The group closed the show with “Like 1” (2025), a collaboration between leader Jihyo and the Japanese rock band One Ok Rock.
