Grandpa Bear’s Favorite Stations: Ōikeyūen station, Wakayama

Join Grandpa Bear for the second episode of My Favorite Stations, a series celebrating charming and memorable railway stations from around the world.

In this video, Grandpa Bear visits Ōikeyūen Station on the Wakayama Electric Railway in Japan: a peaceful little station beside a large pond, where trains cross the water on two lovely small bridges. It’s a quiet, picturesque spot that becomes even more beautiful as the day goes on.

Along the way, Grandpa Bear shares a few of his very serious facts, including the station’s history, a little about Wakayama, and its famous mikan oranges. There’s also time for plenty of train filming, golden hour views, a closer look at the station, a bit of drone footage, and even a surprise appearance from the Chuggington train.

As always, there are a few gentle jokes, some lovely scenery, and a song or two from Grandpa Bear himself.

Thank you very much for watching, and please like and subscribe if you enjoyed the video.
