MUST VISIT! The Perfect 2-Day Hakodate Itinerary: Star Fort, Best Ramen & A Birthday!
Hi everyone! Welcome back to our Hokkaido series! ⚓️✨
In today’s video, we’re leaving the hot springs of Noboribetsu behind and heading south to the beautiful port city of Hakodate.
On our way, we couldn’t resist a quick stop at Lake Toya, a stunning caldera lake with a surprisingly cool castle-shaped boat! Once we arrived in Hakodate, we headed straight for the iconic Goryōkaku Park. Seeing that massive 5-pointed star shape from the top of the Goryōkaku Tower was definitely a highlight of the trip!
We also celebrated a very special day, my husband’s birthday! 🎂 From a delicious tonkatsu dinner to those famous custard cream puffs and sweet crepes, we definitely ate well. We also explored the historic Red Brick Warehouses, visited the Morning Market, and took the Mount Hakodate Ropeway for some of the best views in Japan.
We even stayed in what might be our favorite hotel of the entire trip! 🏨
What we explore in this video:
– A scenic stop at Lake Toya 🏔️
– The star-shaped Goryōkaku Fort & Tower ⭐️
– Hakodate’s famous Salt Ramen 🍜
– Exploring the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses ⚓
– Birthday treats: Tonkatsu, Cream Puffs, and Crepes! 🍰
– Mount Hakodate Ropeway views 🚠
Hakodate is such a charming, cozy city with so much history. We hope you enjoy coming along on this journey with us! If you’re planning your own Japan trip, don’t forget to like and subscribe for more tips and memories!
